today i asked my mom to go shopping which isn't a big deal because i don't think we've been shopping since last winter. anywho, she was like you know when we go shopping we always end up fighting. which is true because the last time we did go shopping we hadn't gotten along in months. we were at eachother's throats everyday for many other reasons. since then we've gotten so much better. we get along quite well and joke and laugh.
so today when she said that she was hesitant to go shopping with me because in the past year she's become "scared to hell by me." she's afraid of me yelling at her. i was really taken aback by this because i never really thought that i had yelled at her. yea i give her a hard time about some of the things she picks out for me (we have totalllllly different tastes) but never have i striaght up screamed at her.
the fact that she feels that i yell at her really stinks. i never thought i was hurting her to the point where she'd be scared of me. i'm not a scary person. but i guess i've got to watch what i say to her. in the past i have said some things i shouldn't have, but they were never in a demeaning manor, but i guess slightly harsh. idk, i just wish she had told me sooner. i absolutely hate the fact that she'd be afraid of me yelling at her, and her keeping it bottled up inside.
i really want to change this. a mother shouldn't be afraid of her daughter having a random spurt of anger. i really am a good person, and momma and i have been getting along great.

i just don't know.

the actual title of this entry should be "fuck you Bush" but its not going to be.

anywho. i've always been against the War in Iraq, mainly for lack of evidence that the US actually needed to get involved. but now, it really hits home as to why i'm against the war. this guy i work with, eric, is one of the people that keeps me sane( aka entertained/smiling) at CompUSA. he's in the national army reserve and he got a phone call from the army this morning that he has to report to a base in virgina for two weeks. after that he gets to come home, but he may have to go to Iraq within the next year. i've never known anybody in the armed forces, but now i do and i can see the effects it has. yeah, i've only known him for a month but he is one of the most genuinely nice/funny guys i've met in my life. work's going to be different these next two weeks, and God only knows what i'll do if he gets sent to Iraq.

i can't wait!

remember, a while ago (like months ago), i posted that one of my goals was to order a Vermonster at Ben and Jerry's and actually finish it? well i posted that.

if you don't know what a vermonster is :

20 scoops of ice cream
10 scoops of chopped walnuts
4 ladles of hot fudge
4 bananas
3 chocolate chip cookies
2 scoops of 4 toppings (we chose double M&M's and rainbow sprinkles)
1 giant fudge brownie
whipped cream
1 large bucket
lots of water

ok, first of all, it was a busy night (4th of July), so they were out of some things. we had no bananas, no cookies BUT we had one extra giant fudge brownie, and no chopped walnuts. WTF mate?

ok after getting past the point, it wasn't a true vermonster, we still went full force. It was a hell of a lot of ice cream for 3 people plus a cheerleader, but we did it

my brother is driving a 1999 navy blue saturn sl2 but it will soon be my car (Tina)

friendships seem to be getting better
